Treatment Room
This is the hub of action for Hall Veterinary Surgery. It is the emergency room, where intravenous fluids, oxygen therapy and first aid and intensive care is provided. Pets are anaesthetised here and prepared for surgery prior to transfer to the sterile operating theatre. This is where our dental procedures are carried out on anaesthetise pets to remove plaque, extract painful teeth and polish healthy teeth using a multi-task dental machine. Non-sterile procedures like cleaning infected wounds and enemas occur here as do medicated baths and clipping matted coats. Having the recovery area close by ensures that those animals waking up from a procedure are always monitored. Behind a lead screen, radiographs are taken with an ex-hospital Xray machine and then developed automatically in the dark room. In another area the surgical instruments are cleaned and sterilised and a scrub sink provides an automated tap for the surgeon to scrub hands prior to gloving up for surgery.

Continue onto the surgery.
