Desexing your Cat

Desexing is performed around 6 months of age prior to maturity in both sexes. This is a day surgery with cats going home on the afternoon after surgery. A tattoo is placed in the left ear as a symbol of desexing. It is preferable to desex female cats when they are not on heat or pregnant. Male cats desexed prior to maturity are less likely to be aggressive, roam and spray urine in the house.

We strongly recommend desexing for animals not to be used for breeding to reduce unwanted litters.
