How to find the Animal Emergency Centre.
The Animal Emergency Centre has moved!.The Animal Emergency Centre Canberra, which handles most of the ACT's After Hours Veterinary Emergencies, moved to its permanent home in
15/2 Yallourn St, Fyshwick,
on November 11 2009. (Ph: 6280 6344) This will probably only add another five to ten minutes at most to your journey, if you ever need to go there. (It makes the trip about the same as travelling to The Canberra Hospital in Woden).
To get there, travel to Canberra Avenue in Fyshwick by your best route, turn left at OfficeWorks and left again into the service lane that runs parallel to Canberra Avenue. Yallourn St is just towards Civic from Officeworks. Turn right into Yallourn St and the Animal Emergency Centre will be on your right, near the Dominos Pizza.

There is a new phone number of 6280 6344, which will be active, but the old number of 6247 0044 will work for the next six months.
